Details about mice

There are 3 methods of helping residential customers get rid of mice. First 2 methods are silly, inhumane, disgusting and are loathed by all parties, customers, technicians and mice. Our pest company uses the cleanest and fastest method, the #3.

Method #1 is the oldest one. It's mechanical and the first patent for the trap was aquired by a guy from Illinois no less :), more than 100 years ago. So, you may ask and rightfully so, why are some pest control companies using 1890's methods and charging 2010's rates? Sure, they use the "save the environment" whopper but who will save you when your wife finds a trap that did its job, ei?This method is brutal and anyway it's a never-ending process...you catch some, they make some more...and in the end you will call a professional exterminator. Let's hope is not one from a company engaged in heavy cost-cutting...ah...saving the environment as they call these tricks today...No, we are not badmouthing companies that use $1.25 traps and charge almost $200 for the service, or companies that are even cheaper and are using glueboards...those sticky things :), no sir, we believe anyone should use whatever tools their managers and presidents decided to buy in that particular fiscal year. We use the best bait there is plus in extreme cases infrared cameras and still charge almost half of what our competitors charge!

Method #2 is just as traumatic but is funny so we mention it here: get some rats hahahahaha. See, rats and mice don't see eye to eye so when you got one type of rodent you won't have the other type. And no, getting a cat won't work as mice spend their time in places cats could only dream of getting into like attics and behind walls and crawlspaces for example. Forget method #2 even if it actually works like magic because you will still need us, to deal with the rats, right?

Method #3 is the fastest way to clean up a house. It's chemical so experience here is a must as product must be right, placed in the right place (mice are lazy...they won't be "everywhere" so bait shouldn't be everywhere either) and despite being curious, mice might not even touch the bait. Our mice experts at Red Raspberries Pest Solutions know exactly how to convince the mice to have their last meal on us. Well, on you, the paying customer but still, you get the point.

Mice like homes, no question about it. And so, the come in. Then, once inside, they find a nest area. As rodent population inside a home increases, future generations would like the best nest area in the home but oops, it is taken already by the original mice so they move to the second best nest area. That's how one starts with mice in the crawlspace then mice in basement then mice in the garage then mice in kitchen then mice in the attic. Sometimes some insolent mouse will nest in the car, or in the pantry but usually they got common-sense and stay out of humans' way. And so on until the homeowner start buying mice traps (those $1.25 victor traps or those sticky pads, glueboards, glue  then buys mice bait (mice poison) he could find then buys some ultrasonic electronic mice repellant (plug-in mice repellent) and plugs every opening he could find with steel wool and finally calls a mice exterminator, or mice experts as we call ourselves today.

At time of service you want all your mice-related questions answered, like what attracts mice, what kills mice, the easiest ways to prevent mice infestation in homes, what is the best mice bait, which traps work and why, everything one needs to know about mice bait stations, how effective are natural products like peppermint oil for example...etc etc etc...that's what we call "get your money's worth...
